The point in Phun's history that truly defined the game for a period of several months is known as the Classical Era. This era was filled with some of the greatest thinkers and tinkerers Phun had ever seen. Creations that are still seen as impressive today include LZ's multiplier, Twinkle's Turing machine, Hilarity_Ensues' Logic gates and his enigma machine, and countless tanks and rockets that filled Phun's sharing page. Unfortunately, almost all of the great Phunner's of the Classical Era have since left Phun and the forums to move on to greater things. With their departure, the euphoria of the Classical Era came to an end. This prosperous period would be followed by a lull in the progress of Phunland's technology and officially ended on Z-Day, beginning the period known as The Great Schism.
