After the release of Algodoo: Phun Edition v5.28, there was a shift from Phun's solely mechanical and glitch based construction to a newer, smarter way to build - thyme scripting(Scripting from the term "VBS" meaning variable based scripting). Some users adopted thyme with open arms and began building automatic sorting machines, high-tech sensors and stabilizers, calculators, and even a completely thyme-based computer. This explosion of new creations was known as the Robotics Revolution and marked the beginning of a general shift in the way Phunner's played the game. Thymers (a small group consisting only of GradyFitz, Blue Herring and KileBantick before beta 5) became a growing force in the Phun community that consists of an estimated 50-65% of Phunnners, while Phundamentalists try to restore the game to it's former niche as a strictly mechanical-physical gameplay. Towards the end of the shift, a group of new users began to recognize the potential of thyme but remained somewhat limited to physical interactions. This is not known as an official group, but makes up a considerable portion of the more recent users, as Phundamentalists begin to dwindle.
