Distributed PHUN
Suggestion for making PHUN more accessible and usable.
Problem:
- Phun is very CPU intensive. Many people do not have the super processing power to render the simulations in real time. This increases frustration and reduces users' desire to continue to stay to 'play and learn' which, I believe, is counter to the software developer's desire.
Solution:
- Using a BOINC or similar distributed network, PHUN users can share their CPU's power across the network to speed rendering and to provide near realtime renderings of the simulations.
Forces
- Reworking of code to allow processing of renderings to be distributed.
