Hey i'm new to this kind of stuff.I never created a tutorial for something
but i will now .I'll do my best.By the way many of you know how to make a car , but i met people that didn't actually know.
I copied the important parts from the screens , to make them use less space [here]
Step 1
First of all build the car's shape [You can make it look however you want , didn't stay to make a more detailed car]
I used BRUSH to make this shape , I didn't make it to smooth
By the way : In this example i added indents , these are not necessary , if you're new just build the base of the car straight without indents ,because adding the hinge wrong would mess the whole motor and all that kind of stuff

Step 2
Create the wheels [ you can make them as big as you like]Then place them on the car, wherever you want [usually on left / right sides] Be sure you're in pause mode will you do this.By the way : The center of the wheel should be on the car's body.
Step 3
Select the Hinge tool then place it on the center of the wheel(Be sure that the center of the wheel is on the car's body, so when you place the hinge on the center of the wheel it will connect to the car's body) .[Advice : zoom in when placing it , so when you're going to zoom out , at the normal view , the hinge will look small ,it won't disturb you]If you won't zoom in the hinge's size will be very big and if the wheel is small it will disturb you if you want to move the wheel or something.Zooming out and placing a hinge makes it bigger for closer view and vice versa ;zooming in and placing a hinge will make it look smaller from a zoomed out view.
Step 4 :
Now we're going to transform the hinges in motors .Select the first hinge , right click on it click on HINGES then you will see 4 options
1 : Motor :It will make the wheel torque
2 : Control arrows keys The wheels will only torque when you use the arrow keys
3 : Reversed Changes the wheel's torque directions
Speed : Torque speed [42 should be okay]
Strength : If you'r going to build a monster truck then the strength should be bigger ,meaning that the car will move without problems big stuff like balls et cetera.
So you should check the "Control with arrows keys" option and Reversed if you want to change the direction.
By the way : Be sure you do this to every hinge .If you're to bored to do it, then you can just clone the first hinge and put it on the other wheel[s].Short Way : Select the hinge , hold Ctrl and move it on left.
Step 5 :
Your car is done , now you can use it
have phun.
My first tutorial , i hope it helped and i hope you understand.
EDIT : added a few more lines at step 2 and 3 also corrected some sentences : Sorry if i repeated the same words over and over again.

Thank you for your contribution.

Very nice. Note that you can add hinges in the center of the wheel easily in the menu.
So part #2 is how to make a suspension
? Infinite variations there, but very interesting.

One addition: Make sure the center of your wheel is overlapping the body of your car when you attach the hinge... this is pretty much the only thing that I didn't figure out right away when trying to make a car...! I thought you had to attach the hinge to the EDGE of the body... but it has to be on the body itself (i.e. over the 2 parts you want to join)

Hum, only thing I might be concerned about is the indents in the base of the car. People might get the idea that you have to place the wheels so thet fit within that area. And then hinge them to the world.

Thanks, that helped (just got phun today).

Anytime i'll do my best next time , it was my first tutorial and i usually like to give a lot of info even if it's useless and that's a bad thing sometimes because it messes the whole thing
Meaning that sometimes it gets harder to understand .

Could you make a tut on how to do that (both on the menu and the fix/hinge images) and post the images you use? They're nice ^^

Try not to bump.
Click options and turn on "Advanced Mode"
That will usually solve a lot of problems.
Also, try to search around the forums before posting a question.
Many people have asked that exact same thing.
