well, i enjoy the impulse concept. i can post the impulse engine plus stabilizer, if you wish.
Captian Janeway had professionals design her ship, which lead to it spawning shuttles out of nowhere. follow her example.

Yeah I reckon when it comes to propulsion, the best thing to do is to learn a bit of thyme (try the tutorials section), and then make a spawn engine, or something of your own!
