Report bugs when running Phun on Windows platforms.

As said before in other topics, memory won't unload old scenes.
I can easily push the memory use from 100MB to 300MB by loading the same 2 scenes over and over.

And as I answered in the other thread, set App.maxUndo to something lower.

Hello..
Phun 3.12 runs great on my linux Ubuntu 7.10 OS with no known problems
But I'm having a graphics problem with Phun 3.12 under Windows XP
I have the latest drivers for my video card Nvidia GeForce 6800 XT
I tried enabling and disabling the shaders and running Phun under fullscreen and in windowed mode but sadly I have the same results.
as you can see
the blue object in the top is water
the object to the left is a cloud
and the circle has a hinge in the middle and a fixate in the bottom
also the buttons are corrupted as well ![]()
Any help is much appreciated.
TY in advance.

Okay the issue with nVidia is that Phun for whatever reason isn't supported. Try running Phun on half the bit colours.
If you are running windows on 32-bit, set Phun to 16-bit
If you are running on 64-bit set Phun to 32-bit or 16-bit if that fails.
If none of the above work then you'll just have to use Linux.

Thanks for the help ![]()
the graphics are better now but the shaders aren't working and Phun is running on like 1 FPS lol

Press F11 and type:
System.minFPS = 12 (or higher)
Might speed things up a little.

Thank you for your fast replies
the command didn't help with how slow Phun was
I appreciate your help
Edit : ___
the FPS only drops when I lower the color Bits to the half
but in regular colors it runs with full FPS
I guess its Ubuntu until any new version solves this problem ![]()

But couldn't you write scene files to the harddisk instead of putting it in RAM? I like having a lot of undo's, but not when it comes to entire scenes.

I'm using nVidia Geforce, and i have no problems with the graphics, and I'm using an older GFX... 6600 ![]()

I believe it is the new drivers that cause problems.

Hmmm...I run Phun on a new Dell XPS M1530 laptop with an nVidia GeForce 8600 and it works famously...

I use an old 6200LE, no problems here either.

The problem was possibly between the nV drivers and opengl. I noticed texture overlay problems in google earth that were strikingly similar to the ones in phun, and although switching from opengl to directx rendering solved the problem temporarily, the new beta drivers resolved it completely. I was using forceware 169.21. As of this post I'm using 174.20.
You can get beta drivers from downloads.guru3d.com. I recommend you follow that link and find the latest drivers for your hardware there as opposed to the nvidia site as, although the drivers at guru3d are beta drivers, they often have a number of key problems fixed. If you're lazy though and don't want to see if any newer drivers are available, these worked for me. They're the 32 bit drivers. I'm not posting a link to the 64 bit version because I've only been able to verify that these ones work. They're not hard to find by using the first link tho'. =]
Now, go play.

I'm having trouble when it comes to save my scenes. I tried putting the same name (to overwrite the last scene) and different names, but it doesn't save any of my scenes. Is there anything i can do?
Thanks,
Eric.

On a few of my scenes, when an object gets to a certain point on the map, it simply disappears! It looks like it is going behind an object that is the same color as the background, but IT'S NOT! I am frustrated and confused. Please! Someone help!
Thanks! ![]()

the same thing happened to me one or two times, but its a longe longe distance i have to make, so i dont care much about it. try to make things smaller (using zoom). worked for me.

Would be nicer if it just bumped into an imaginary boundary.. instead of vanishing.
Code would be simple:
if the object is near the view, then bump into boundary. Else vanish.
