Re: Phun Rally championship

from what i read in the rules yours is seriously seriously overpowered rhett97.

allowable speed and torque are given in an equation in the first post by nxdt.

Re: Phun Rally championship

For a number of reasons I put both my motors on the same piece which powers the wheels through some simple transmission.  Is this car legal?  Aside from the controls, that is.  As long as I'm still driving it, ASD all the way.

If you really want, I can get rid of the "gear" part contained in it, and I probably will anyway, before I produce a final version.

Anyway, Rhett you obviosly haven't read the weight regulations.
Frank yours is legal, apart from the controls (no back key is needed, not an obstical course).
Sgt.cheesecake only needs a few tweaks, the mass of wheels+torsion bar = 63.something kg Needs to be fifty.

Seen as some people are having slow cars due to engine regulations i'm raising the limit.

Re: Phun Rally championship

My prototype awaits the new motor rules, but is otherwise ready to roll.  If the motor settings are raised by a lot, I may need to rebuild to take advantage of them.  Some of the things that give it amazing power for the given settings also limit its maximum speed.

Re: Phun Rally championship

I dont intend to change my scene entry, as i can change the motor settings in the actual challenge levels, even though i could improve it i don't intend to lol.

Re: Phun Rally championship

Why? you have already said that we can adjust the motor settings and spring settings for each of the scenes following the test scene and set it up. there is nothing wrong with setting my motor settings for those levels? Reuploading something that isnt specificly useful (as its the same scene with slightly higher hinge speed and torque) seems like wasted effort when i can set it for the levels as they come.

Re: Phun Rally championship

Here's my final entry.  I know no reverse was asked for in the rules, but there are also two allowed "extra function" keys.  I filled one spot with reverse.
