This is the to do list if ppl cant find it i will update when i see a change.
This is a list of features emilk plans to implement some sunny day, in very rough order.
Fixate objects at a distance
Distance constraints
Pull-down-menus
Buttons
Add more options (like default density, default bounciness etc)
Breakable springs
Some form of ruler or scale indicator
Procedural terrain
Fix group selecting and deselecting
Redo load scene => Redo load [name of scene].
Auto-save for the undo
Add center hinge gets object color
Pre 1.0:
Better solver convergence for motor hinges
Better water
Move anything connected through hinges when moving objects?
A splash-screen?
Soft zooming
Post 1.0:
Gear-tool
Rubber bands
Draw things in fake 3D, ie adding a shaded border to polygons, planes and water, and drawing circles as spheres.
Slider for gravitation
Mark an object as a water sink (water dies on contact with it)
Rocket motor
Undo the movement of selected objects without interfering with the rest
Undo without undoing movement (eg erasing last created object without moving the others)
Move spring attachments
Surface tension for water
Separate objects without adding energy to the system
Better polygon drawing code
Modify exisiting objects (CSG etc)
Soft bodies
Demo recording
Post-insanity:
Networking
Multi-touch-screen
Planned opimizations:
Broadphase collision detection (Will speedup any scene whith lots of objects, especially if there's water in it)
Faster SPH/Water (probably a two* or threefold optimization possible)
Multicore support (can maybe cram out a twofold speed increase on dual cores)

If the Suggestions area had a link to the Wiki page, with a note to say "check this before suggesting", this may alleviate the problems of old suggestions being brought up, which is what I think Deathlyhollows may have been trying to do with this thread.
Or we can just sticky the thread, as a quick fix ![]()

topic stickied for people who're lazy.

Is Rocket motor abel to move thing on ?

I welcome a wiki-page where you help to fill in all Phun suggestions and maybe order them by category. It would sure help people from posting the same suggestion over and over...

Could anyone maintain wiki-page for suggestions?

No, it wouldn't. There are to many ignorant people out there...

hey, emilk, buy buttons do you mean things that when push activate a motor? i think thats what your talking about.

Well there are people who are not ignorant. There are people who search correctly for their suggestion, but don't find it, because of either misspellings or different choice of words.
Sure there are some people not searching for their suggestion before posting it, but sertainly not everyone.
I think it's a good idea.

Emilk, where is unicode support in TODO list? (Can I add it?)
As you know, a lot of Japanese hope it and unicode support is necessary for educational use in Japan (so, I want it).
I'm sorry for my persistent. I'm afraid that unicode support never come.
Thank you.

That TODO list is out-dated - believe me, unicode is pretty high up on my own TODO!
Thank you. ![]()
I like Phun very much.
Edit: I believe you, emilk.
Edit: And I beliebe algoryx.

This has bean suggested before but
move object up one layer
or move object back down one layer
because to make a complex layered system thing
this is a must ![]()

what about objects being sticky, could be used with the soft bodies add.
hinges stretch a little too easly too they should be more stiff without affecting the swing of them.

PHUN would be a better physics simulator if:
1º The hinges was fix, it dont move, don't matter the force that was applied on hinge (the hinge NOW is like a rubber).
2º The game uses a better sketch editor, with tools like Inkscape.
3º The game uses REAL units of measurement. (e.g.: If the bounciness was setted to "100", the object would loss 0% of the mechanical energy, if setted to "75" it would loss 25%).
4º An escale indicator.
Sorry about the poor language.
I'm brazilian.

My suggestions
ability to input dimensions
ability to cut shapes out of an object
importing textures
premade materials with realistic density, bounciness etc
Colors (possibly textures) for said materials
saving materials you've made
